because there is no such thing as calories on sundays

Any food craving of mine on a lazy weekend afternoon is usually something savoy and full of cheese. I just happened to have the few ingredients required to whip up Ina Garten’s version of a Croque Monsieur and it was the perfect guilty pleasure snack. It’s also a bit more sophisticated and impressive to serve than your standard grilled sandwich (not to mention a step above the equally savory mac and cheese meal but just as sinful.) What’s better than a sandwhich covered with bubbling gooey cheese right out of the oven? My only change for next time is to add a little truffle salt instead of sea salt in the bechamel cheese sauce.
The Barefoot Contessa’s recipe I used is available here.

That looks unbelievable!
